Avert Hackers with Digital Spring Cleaning

Free May 10 “Hacking the Human” webinar to share tips for decluttering devices

PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 4, 2018) – You’ve cleaned out your garage, re-organized your closets, but somehow, the thought of getting rid of digital cobwebs that could be leaving your data open to attack seems like an overwhelming task.

“Outdated apps, wireless routers and other software and hardware make it easier for hackers to gain access to your data,” said Michael Cocanower, president and CEO of Phoenix-based itSynergy “It is also important to regularly ‘refresh’ security defenses like passwords in order to keep the bad guys out.”

Cocanower, a cybersecurity expert and certified ethical hacker who has been recognized nationally and locally for his IT expertise, will conduct a free, 15-minute “Digital Spring Cleaning” webinar on Thursday, May 10 at 11:30 a.m. Cocanower will share 10 tips designed to clean out security vulnerabilities on computers, smartphones and other digital devices. Interested participants should register at https://itsynergy.com/webinar.

The “Hacking the Human” webinars take place at 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month. The webinars are geared towards non-technical end users in business at any level in the company. Each webinar provides useful tips to ward off cyberattacks and more complex social engineering schemes that result in theft and corporate espionage.
